Basketball · Editor's Note
We checked every covered men's basketball roster against each school's official 2026-27 roster. Here's what changed.

We reconciled all 82 men's basketball programs we cover — the Power 4 conferences and the Big East, plus Gonzaga, San Diego State and Memphis — against each school's official 2026-27 roster, and cross-checked them against published roster data. As of October 21, our roster for each of the 82 programs matched its school's official roster.
The combined TNS valuation of the players on those 82 rosters, incoming recruits included, moves from $526.9 million to $773.7 million. That reflects roster and data accuracy — most of the increase comes from players added to the rosters they are on and from last season's statistics filled in where our records were missing them — not a change in how we value players. These figures are our estimates, not reported pay.
The transfer portal page now counts every transfer it lists toward his new team. Some were previously missed because of name spelling differences or missing records, so the combined value of incoming transfers rises from $424.2 million to $513.2 million, and every transfer on the page now shows the school he came from.
Our methodology. Values for returning players and transfers reflect last season's (2025-26) college production, and incoming freshmen are valued on their recruiting profile. Players without a Division I stat line from last season — international and junior-college arrivals, redshirts and walk-ons — have player pages but are not yet valued, so they don't count toward team totals. The basketball methodology page explains how we value players.
Rosters keep moving. Athletes, agents, and program staff who want to share or correct information can reach us confidentially through /verify.
